In an effort to curb costs and keep travel soccer affordable, Wright County Soccer Club is implementing a new volunteer effort for the 2015/2016 season. Like most non-profit, youth sports organizations; a majority of the work is performed by volunteers. Club member families will now be expected to partner with the club to get these tasks completed. A group effort not only makes accomplishing these tasks more manageable, but also will keep our program costs down. This can be achieved with a very small contribution of everyone’s time, roughly 2-3 hours per player (depends on activity).
Most volunteer options will need to be completed by adults. There are lots of ways to help, and usually something that will easily fit your skill set and your schedule. Options include helping with field preparation, monitoring Open Soccer nights, helping with events such as Picture Day, MVP Camp, Tryouts, etc.
Before the summer season starts, each family will be required to submit a check for $50.00 (fifty dollars) per player. These checks will be held by the club until the end of the summer season. Families that have completed their volunteer hours for each player will have their checks destroyed. Families who opt not to volunteer will have their checks deposited and monies will be used to pay for any work done that requires payment.
Volunteer hours will be monitored by our Volunteer Coordinator and will be available for you to claim on our website under the “Dibs” module. Once you claim your volunteer hours, Dibs will help you remember by sending you reminder emails. This feature should make selecting and completing your volunteer hours easy to manage. Volunteer hours can also be completed during the 2015 fall season and during the winter, in addition to during the summer season in 2016. Helpful hint: The sooner you log on and select your volunteer hours, the more choices you’ll have available to you.
By signing below, you are acknowledging that you understand the volunteer requirement and that you agree to submit a check for $50.00 before the summer season starts.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Player passes will not be issued until checks have been submitted or volunteer work has been completed. Checks will NOT BE CASHED for families that complete their volunteer hours by the conclusion of the season.
The Club has numerous volunteer options and opportunities. The earlier you sign up for a task, the more options will be available to you. Below are just some of the volunteer opportunities. To sign up to volunteer, please click on the "Dibs" tab on the home page.
